Characters: Colonies are flat or undulating plates. Corallites usually have regularly tapered septal spines. Polyps are short with knob-like tentacle tips. Colour: Pale pinkish-brown to bright pink, sometimes with grey oral discs and white tentacle tips. Similar species: Alveopora japonica. See also
