I have seen several of these, and couldn't tell you if they were the "fireworm" variety that eats coral .. any pictures of the bad guy?
 
yeh ive had a few encounters with them and those bristles are hard to remove and are worse then any coral sting
 
Thanks, helpful information. I have some of these in my 55 gal. not too many though.
