Max. size: 9.0 cm TL (male/unsexed); 6.22 cm SL (female)
Environment: reef-associated; non-migratory; marine ; depth range 76 - 82 m
Distribution: Western Pacific: Papua New Guinea.

It was a male from Cebu, the Philippines, with two distinct black areas on dorsal and caudal fins. This species is variable but it is apparently a geographical variant. Photo by me, Hiroyuki Tanaka, Japan.
