Characters: Colonies are massive (especially in shallow water) or encrusting. The surface is even, with sinuous valleys 6-9 millimetres wide. Columellae are well developed although interlinked. Ambulacral grooves, if present, are fine. Colour: Purple-brown, grey or greenish with green or grey valley
