Orange spot Sleeper Goby

Valenciennea puellaris
I kept a mated pair of these guys in a 180g reef aquarium. Observed multiple spawnings from them. Egg cluster is usually attached to the roof of the den they excavate beneath live rock. They need a 2 - 3 inch sand bed to be happy. Can be a nuisance if they undermine a rock formation by moving sand. Not observed to be very territorial or aggressive, but I didn't have many other benthic species. Fun to watch. They spend all day munching sand (sifting for inverts) and digging. Overall very hardy in my experience.
