Characters: Colonies are composed of thin, contorted, bifacial, upright fronds with or without thickened branching bases. Corallites are fine, shallow and are aligned in irregular rows parallel to frond margins. Colour: Pale brown or greenish-brown, often with white margins. Similar species: Pavona
