Characters: Colonies are thin plates, sometimes in tiers. Surfaces of plates are smooth or undulating. Colour: Brown with white polyps. Similar species: Porites astreoides where forming thin plates, which is distinguished by having weakly developed paliform lobes and by colour. Habitat: Reef slopes.
