SW Planted Tank

This is the first time I have seen a planted SW tank! IMPRESSIVE! What types of life live there besides plants? Seahorses?

Thank you so much for the kind words! This is my favorite tank out of 4 that share a sump. It really sucks up NO3 and PO4. So much that I can feed as much as my fish want! (OK, not as much as my puffer wants! He never gets full, even when his body gets so weighted down he starts to sink!)

I do have seahorses in this tank, and shrimp and funky crawly things! I have around 26 species all togethther, last count.

Awesome system! Where are you located? I have started with dwarf seahorses and am collecting macros, would love to purchase some plant starts or swap... I actually took some macros from the coast last summer and one is doing fine in my tropical tanks. Finally a plant person on the forum! Do you also do freshwater plant tanks? This layout reminds me of Amano.

Dwarf seahorses are fun!

I am in Salt Lake City. I only have saltwater tanks.

Thank you for the kind words. Good luck with your tiny aquatic equines! You will love them!

Great looking tank. BTW, have you ever had any experience with the string of pearls algae, like the ones from marineflora.com? I got on the waiting list to order them, but have not found much info on them otherwise.

I have not tried to order from them. Doesn't it say you have to order a huge quantity?

The string of pearls looks like a Caulerpa species? I do think I have it. It is a great growing macro. Tell me if you think it is the same one I have on my algae page at SWPlantedTank.com?
