Hope that this is the right place to ask for help...I received a coral from Tracy (Palouse) before she left and she didn't know what it was. Here are a couple pictures. It is a beautiful orange color and seems to plate...it had three individual plates on the rock and i fragged one off.- SaltyDog2

Algae choking AGA reef ready overflow
I had a problem like that in my fuge and I placed a small piece of styrofoam over it to block the light and it solved the problem...my lights aren't hot enough to melt the styro even if it floated away. one always wants to think about the flame problem-ya know.- SaltyDog2

New Refugium
I have great results with one of the new 26 watt bulbs that are 6500K and produce 100 watts of power bought at Walmart. I have lots of Chaeto that I just throw away...I'm in Lewiston if you ever get this way...I'm sure you'll find plenty in your area though.- SaltyDog2

What do you have in Spokane that you would recommend for these beautiful fish...previous owner fed mostly live Tubeflex worms. Idiot's Guide to Making & Dosing 2 Part
Thanks Kim Good info...might be why I am getting a powdery film on the water surface (been adding at the same time). I am sure happy with this recipe...1st weeks test shows that my Calcium and Alkalinity are spot on. 460 and 10dkh I did adjust my mag from 1300 to 1400.- SaltyDog2
