Kevin told me that it was reef safe...I guess we'll see? We're also adding a Bluejaw Trigger today whom I'm under the impression is also OK for reefs...but "with caution" hopefully all will go well?? Found this on liveaquaria.com: Caution should be exercised if housing these fish in a...

Thanks Krish - hope the fam is feeling better...a quick Q though since you're here so early... What's your theory on a timeframe as far as how long to wait before adding corals? We are have been following our lfs experts advice to the letter so far and he says 3 months...patience is HARD to...

    150g updated pics

OK - our 150g has been up now for 5 wks so I thought it was time to post a little timeline of our "adventure" into the saltwater side of the aquarium hobby. Apologies in advance for the quality of some of the photos...we are still learning with the camera and also taking pictures through glass...

    Hitch hiker ID HELP

We are seeking ID of the white fella in the following pictures...we think it's a harmless white sponge that looks like the head of a q-tip with a hole in the middle and a tiny protruding fan that comes from the hole. We try to keep a good eye on things and a lookout for anything that might be...

    Microbubble headache

Thanks for all the replies guys...I talked to our LFS guy and described the whole thing to him and also added the fact that we have lots of "bugs" floating in the water that look like dandruff. He told me not to worry and that they are actually more likely to be beneficial copepods than...

    Microbubble headache

and also a "Loc-line" question. We have what I consider ALOT of "bubblation" in the lower tank/sump. If we can post video on this site I will. Otherwise here are the specs and any suggestions are welcome, but adding baffles is a last resort as it will mean draining the bottom tank and...

    Advice Needed Quick!!

First off thanks for all the advice everyone...it really helps being able to ask ALOT of others who have probably been there and done that before who's wisdom us newbies can benefit from. Second...we are back up and running...the only casuality "so far" was the female clown I mentioned...

    Advice Needed Quick!!

OK does that apply to a system that is already up and running...if so that means draining the OF boxes and re-doing all the plumbing. Can the system be "down" that long without the return pump working?? I was told "incorrectly" it seems that the silicone was all that was needed.

    Advice Needed Quick!!

you hit the nail on the head Krish. The return line comes out the top of the pump to a ball valve, then to the T which is connected to white pvc hose that connects to each bulkhead. I didn't know you could use actual glue and thought it was not safe for the "life" in the aquarium. If it is...
