Marine waste harmful to septic systems?

I just bought a house and was here for the septic pumping. I asked that specific question to the pumping guy. He had never been asked that before but said that as long as you have bacteria in the septic system and you do not do anything to kill that(tons of bleach... etc) then it should be...

    Coraline algae

That is the biggest bunch that I have. It is on the side of the tank that the ballast is out on the MHs. I have a much smaller area on the other side of the tank, but it is kinda looking like a christmas tree... each plate grows on the next.

    question for the SCUBA divers

ok... learned how to dive here almost 10yrs ago. I dove quite a few times the first couple of yrs and then it dwindled down to a couple times a month before I moved to Guam. I figure that I put in about 1000 dives in the first 4 yrs and then a good 200+ in the 2 yrs in Guam... mostly night...

    Making Reef Rocks..

What all did you add to the rock? I picked up some stepping stone concrete from Micheals. I know some people add crushed coral or oyster shells. I was also thinking about rock salt... but wouldn't that just disolve during the mixing process. Just making sure that I get it right... if oyster...

Finally found a use for these!

I orded the magnets from K&J Magnetics. They are Grade N42 disc, 1/2" x 1/8". I got 50 of them. I ordered them on a Friday using the USPS service and recieved them on Monday. Great service. They even included some free magnets to play with. They came epoxy coated. I did that to ensure...

    Making Reef Rocks..

All of that is for construction and litter... what we are doing is not litter or construction. But I am glad that we have come to the same conclusion... Still ok to put it into the ocean for curing. I did discuss with the WDFW about the leaching of calcium and lye into the water. For the...

    Making Reef Rocks..

It almost sounds too good to be true... Thank thincat. There are also no real restrictions on removing rocks, coral or creatures unless they have a lisence associated with them.

    Making Reef Rocks..

OK... so I did some calling, talking, calling, talking, getting directions and other phone numbers. WA DNR "Mike" in the aquatics dept was not aware of any laws or regulations (WAC, RCW) that prevent a person from putting anything into the ocean to later take it out. He refered me to the...
