    i'm looking to get a retrofit to put in a canopy i'm about to build, only thing i've really found online is www.ahsupply.com and www.hellolights.com. im either looking for a 4x96w pc or a mh pc combo. also if anyone here knows anything about DIY lights how do you hook up fans as far as wiring goes?

    if i set up my tank using regular tap water and i switch to ro/di water how long do you think it will take to get my water to become mostly ro/di water? you know what im trying to say or no?

    i went ahead and did a MWC and brought my ammonia back down to not noticable and the fish still seem to be doing fine. i think i'm gonna let the 2 percs just chill for a while then im gonna add about 50-75 more lbs of liverock this week and get my lights hooked up next week.

    yea this rock is from my local fish store he has it in a seperate tank with all sorts of live rock he sells and it is all cured. he cures it in the back in seperate tubs with skimmers before he puts it in the sell tank. the only thing in the tank is a few snails damsels and a lawnmower blenny...

    well i may be jumping the gun... im so use to doing ammonia tests and testing nothing and maybe im just now starting to read something, i did 2 more tests and held them in different light and maybe its more between 0-.1 do you still think i should do a water change or just let the fish settle...

    no im not but i had my water tested at a local pool place and there is no iron copper or anything like that, also the water around here is pretty good quality. my lfs used to use ro/di water when he lived in chicago but hasn't since he moved here 15 yrs ago and he has all sorts of clams corals...
