New to saltwater too huh? Me and my bf started ours three weeks ago and it's shaping up quite nicely.. It even "cycled" overnight! Ours is a 55 gal tank too. I've had 55 gal, 20 gal, and 10gal freshwater tanks before.. good luck!- prttysouthrngrl
