I'd say read thru my build before you take that leap so you can see the possibilities of things getting messed up along the way. :) Its great having a big tank but there are quite a few things different then with a smaller tank. Just take it slow and TEST everything that you get for the tank to...

Thanks guys! The aquascaping is ok. I'm still not in love with it but its really nice for putting frags on. The flow is pretty good though. The tangs seem to be happy with it.

    Tech E.T.S.S. 1400 for my 500 FOWLR

You have to prime those pumps in case you didn't know. I didn't know that about mine either and thought the same thing. That is unless your pump is lower than your water level if that makes sense? It wont pump up into itself you would have to stick a powerhead in the tube pushing water in there...

Yeah I think that is what this stuff is. It is just thick plastic mesh that I had laying around from my old tank.

Well some good news, I found my chalk Basslett! Wahoo! he somehow made it into the sump...Isn't that where he was when I got him from you Jesse? haha I blocked off the overflow with some mesh so hopefully it wont happen again. We will see though!
