    She's still eating mostly brine shrimp and some mysis. The spectrum was totally ignored. I'm going to need to try some clams again. Looks like she has Ick unfortunately so will pick up some cupamine and start treatment this week.

    Last week I picked up a Copper banded butterfly and have it in a quarantine tank. Yesterday I noticed two white spots on it. I'm not sure if its just abrasions or Ich? Can anyone help me diagnose? Should I just start treating with a Hyposalinity treatment to be on the safe side? Any help...

    Thanks for the info. I'm really trying to avoid adding any live rock (out of a abundance of paranoia of pest hitchhikers). My plan is to utilize Dr Tims one and only to import the bacteria.

    What method do you use to cycle a new tank??

    I'm in the process of setting up a tank and am planning on going with Base Rock + Dr Tim's one and adding a hardy fish or two right away. Mr Salt water TV had an episode on it so am planning on giving it a shot. The only open item for me is base sand vs live sand.

    Nice summary appreciate it. I would also think when introducing new coral to an LED system you should start with the corals toward the bottom of the tank and gradually move it up.

    Great job. I'm considering doing something similar with a sump + protein skimmer in and a separate refugium. Do you have a pump pushing the water from the sump to the refugium or is it gravity feed?
