Oh wow, a Red Sea emp? Nice catch there. Was it an adult when you got him? Great job on keeping that hippo tang for 17 years.

    My 375 Reef

There's an emp on the far left, I believe the one you are looking at is a xanthurus.

Tank is looking great, really like the selection of fish, especially the angels. What kind of filtration do you run behind the scenes? Would like to see some pics of that as well :) keep up the good work!

    520g Peninsula Build

I'm really happy with the Pukani, it still looks great and I'm starting to see pink and red coralline popping up everywhere. I have no measurable phosphates, but I'm running GFO to counter anything the Pukani might be leeching into the water. On another note, I have a couple fish in the DT now...

Handicapped Yellow Tangs to good home!

I'm not going to psas, but I might be going south next week to visit my parents, who live around Gig Harbor. I don't have a day nailed down yet, but if you are interested in meeting on my way down there let me know.

    norwesco containers

I have a 300g tank that I got from Berg Vault also, but it was spendy... Very happy with the dimensions and efficiently using space though. I saw some recently on CL for a good price, they pop every once in a while if you're patient.

    Clarion Angels!

Absolutely. For serious hobbyists and public aquaria, where else are you going to get rare fish? The LFS? Diver's Den offers a plethora of livestock that is unavailable locally, and has been properly conditioned to captivity in their care. I know of people with some of the best rare fish...

Handicapped Yellow Tangs to good home!

Thanks for your reply cruzanm, They are living with a foxface now and he ignores both of them, I would think they'd be fine. Are you interested in one or both? You can pm me to discuss it further if you like.

Handicapped Yellow Tangs to good home!

The thread is in "Marine Fish Discussion with Lee Birch" under Specialty Forums, and is titled "Yellow Tang Rescue - Fin Rot" 75 gallons is borderline for a yellow tang, I think if it is the only tang it would be ok.

Handicapped Yellow Tangs to good home!

Here's the back story on these guys: http://www.reeffrontiers.com/threads/66497-Yellow-Tang-Rescue-Fin-rot It's painful to do this, but I need to see if anyone out there has room for a couple of yellow tangs that have some permanent handicaps. I have rehabilitated them as well as I can, and...

    Clarion Angels!

Actually, I think Clarions are a more mild Holacanthus angel. Add it last and call it good :D Conspic would be a nice choice too, Kirk, and they run cheaper than the Clarion.

    Tangs! need some expert opinions/exerience.

There are so many factors at work here... it's difficult to say what tangs definitely are and aren't compatible. In fact, I can't think of any tangs that aren't,except for maybe Sohal and Clown - but even then it's a matter of tank size and territory. What size tank are we talking about...

    TriggerFish help

Maracyn II is good, but slow acting. I like Furan-2 for most situations. It doesn't look like this trigger is in immediate jeopardy at this point, Maracyn would work fine if that's what is available. Just keep an eye on it and let us know how things progress.
