    My last post

To echo what Nikki and Chuck and a few members have stated...this is a very large board with a very active membership...the sheer volume of posts made in a day here make it impossible for the staff of RF to read them all...I know for me, I certainly don't have the time to read every post in...

    how do fluidized beds work?

Actually, a Fulidized bed can accelerate nitrate production in a tank similar to the way a wet/dry filter can. They work by exposing the media (sand) to a good deal of oxygenated water from the tank, creating an ideal environment for ammonia and nitrite reducing aerobic bacteria to thrive in...

    Denitrification WithOUT live rock.

There is a good deal of bacteria in the water column itself, and begins acting on ammonia as soon as it is produced. Over the years, I've always seeded new tanks with water from established tanks...works very well MikeS

    My New Toy

That would be fun, I'd love to see how my WS6 runs with that nice humid air at seal level:D I know lots of WS6 owners are pushing them stock into the high 12's at sea level, that would be fun to see if mine can do that...:D

    My New Toy

Aluminium doesn't rust...that's just grime:lol: Around here a GT with a decent option package stickers for around $30K. Correct, GM stopped producing the F Body cars in 2002. The Camaro is going to be re-intorduced next year, with a 400HP LS2 powerplant, expect the Firebird to follow the...

    My New Toy

They rock alright...that is if you don't mind paying $30K+ for a brand new GT that still gets smoked by Camaros, Firebirds, the GTO, and lots of imports... yeah, the Mustang "rocks"...or it accelerates like a rock, I should say... ;) Here's why they can't beat a '99 WS6...the...

    Kalk and Vinegar? Better?

I played around with the vinager/kalk mix a few years ago...the increase in Ca and alk is not that great, and vinager is pretty good bacteria fuel as I discovered...IMO not worth it. At 5 gal, you can mix 10 tsp of kalk in there for maximum Ca levels. Kalk is pretty cheap, I wouldn't worry...

    Richard Petty Driving Experience...

Hi all I'm not really a NASCAR fan, but I'll be in Orlando in november and I was looking into doing this... http://www.1800bepetty.com/home.aspx Like I said, I'm not a big nascar fan, but a chance to drive a stock car at 165mph legally appeals to me, I'm into that kind of stuff...:D I was...
