    I've got a skimmer with 4 beckett injectors, but only two of them really pull some air in, the other two don't really do anything. You got any idea of what could be going on there or how I could improve them?

    bio tower on fish only tank questions???

    I've got a skimmer on my system as well. The reason that I have the bio tower on it is becuase I've heard that there good for a system such as mine. Overall like brett said, will removing it cause failures in my system? Should I remove it, or keep it? I'm stuck right now. Thanks thus far guys...

    I've heard mixed feelings about bio towers filled with bio balls on fish only systems. Can anyone give me there two cents on how they feel about em? Some questions to consider... What are the pros and cons of having them? Have people that used them felt like they were good for the system...

    Ya I see what your saying. I wanted the suction of the pump to be near the surface so that if the power did cut out, the syphon would break once the water level went down a little bit.

    Its pumping water to the bio tower near by, then after the water trickles, it flows into the sump

    good call. I didn't think of that. Obviously a screen is a must. Do you think that could be the the only downfall. If so, I think I can live with it.

    pump question

    I wanted to set up a pump like in the picture shown, but just wanted to know if it would damage the pump due to sucking the water upwards first. As you can see I have a priming pot set up in front of the pump. Please take a look at the diagram and let me know what you think. Thanks very much

    I read about the algea turf scrubbers in Dynamic aquaria. While you did an incredible job explaining it, if someone would like to more info you should check out this book. I've been planning on giving this a shot, I'm going to do it for sure now. This motivated me a bit more. Thanks

    dolphin pump leaking - help

    I've got a dolphin amp master that is leaking from the shaft impeller. Not sure if I worded that right. I think that the seal is done for, is that a good assumption? I've heard that dolphin pumps are notorious for having leaky seals. Does anyone know where I can get a new seal or how to fix it...
