    Mojo's Airtones Clone Skimmer =)

John, DonW, the whitewater airpump is pretty noisy compare to sweetwater pumps. But for the price, you can't beat it. My tank is in my garage so the noise is not an issue. I would not suggest this pump if you are using it inside your house or living room. reeffan

Pierco, Those black ring/rubber indeed a uniseals. I use this on my calcium reactor and skimmer as well as some other equipment that i make. They're really a good seal on my experience, virtually no leak. And yes they can handle pressure but not sure how much pressure (not on top of my head ;)...

    Tank Material... Glass or Acrylic?

I have glass tank before and switch to acrylic. The only downside of acrylic is getting scratches easily. But then again, you can buff the acrylic while the glass can't. reeffan

    New Skimmer

Edgerat, i think i'd go for the LT15 1.5 c.f.m. just to make sure ;). One thing i didnt ask MIKE is the noise from the airpump. I got caried away looking at the skimmer foam and did'dnt even pay attention on the airpump. When you were there, did you notice any noise from the airpump? reeffan

    New Skimmer

The wet neck for sure help the riser prevents protein waste built-up. I really like that design. It makes cleaning alot easier than the old school skimmers. As far as adding those airstones in an existing skimmers for an upgrade is a very good idea. One question: For smaller airstones...
