    RBTA Care

My RBTA had nearly bleached completely! Now under 250w 20k halide, three 420nm actinic T5HOs, and a 6700k T5 (all 54watts), she's bouncing back. I had noticed that she started splitting and getting color back into the parting side. Now, however, she looks as if the zooxanthelle is spreading...

    Long horned cowfish

They're pretty voracious eaters. I would definitely not consider them 100% reef-safe, however you could keep them with some inverts without an issue. They'll eat feather dusters, small fleshy polyps, and I would assume they'd pick at clams. He will also pick on any sick fish without haste...

    making rock wall

Are you guys just using dead "live rock," or is it some other type of stone? I hear that tufa stone is good to use, as well as some lava rock. Would sandstone work? Is there a list of optimal stone to use?

    1 gallon tank

You'd need to keep the cultivation tank pretty full of phytoplankton any ways, to the point of not being able to see much. As far as giving them homes; You could use a few porous sponges for the pods to repopulate in. You'd be surprised how much use they'll make of 'em. :)

blue dot jawfish not building hole

Many aquarists prefer to make their own mixes of shellfish, krill, and squid. You can get some of the ingredients from a reputable grocery store, but it's important to know your source. You could always go to your local fish store and pick up a variety of meaty foods, then feed that on a...

    Snail with a Snout O_o

Is the shell rounded in the front with a tapered end? Hopefully you have a nassarius snail, which would be a good sand-stirrer. Just hope it's not predatory. Even a blurry picture would help. :)

    Best Choice for Aiptasia control

I'd be interested in doing in splitting up the shipping if anyone wants to go this route. Salty Underground is having a "Buy two, get one free(limit one)" sale.

    Does RO water go bad?

Well, it's ideal if you mix salt for a few days to make sure it's fully dissolved, so that shouldn't be an issue. Be sure to clean out the container once in a while. RO might gain contaminants, so test it if you're unsure. Otherwise you can keep it for long periods.

    RBTA feeding

You're better off feeding clam than brine shrimp. Brines lose their nutritional value very early on and just end up as filler. You'd want to get some mysis shrimp or krill for a more filling food. A Red Sea Aquarium has large sheets of the stuff at fair prices. You could also go to Central...
