If u don't want to use glue, you could try the same method used for mushrooms. Put the polyp into a small container full or rock rubble, make sure there are holes in the container to allow for some flow, and the polyp should attach by itself.
My ORA ponape likes to be off centered from my LEDs and high flow. So the way it works out in my tank is it pretty much sits directly in front of my power head towards the side of my tank. Bright light causes the green tint to go away.
