    Confused about sump/pump flow rate.

Eheim is my number 1 suggestion also. I use them religiously whenever possible for the low heat and noise.

Yeah that's good, but I already bought all 4 of my Sols. Oh well maybe I can afford to upgrade the coral prop tanks to LEDs in the future then. It would only take like 30 AI Sols or so. I may do the wireless upgrade though

    Night mode (vortech pumps)

That argument has been discussed before. Although the surface is calmer appearing at night the actual flow under the surface remains overall the same. The appearance comes from normally calmer wind conditions and such during the night

    Night mode (vortech pumps)

I use the night mode for 8 hours. I do this for my LPS which seem to respond better as well as my sleeping fish such as the wrasses because I run bare bottom. I don't think it is a huge deal regardless of whether you use it or not.

Predator for Red Planaria Flat Worms???

Melanarus are sand sleepers but do just fine without it. I keep mine in a bare bottom tank and when he is tired he just goes into one of the many caves.

Need so help with water flow

It is your natural algae cycle. Cut your lighting back slightly and find the cause of nitrates. Nitrates and light are feeding this algae.

You need the Reverse osmosis part more than the DI part if you were going to have to choose. Just get a RODi if possible. thefilterguys.biz is a great source and very affordable.

Yes one AI Sol will cover a 24x24x16 area with good results. You will be able to keep high light demanding corals in the center most part of the tank and lower light corals (still SPS though) towards the edges. The interior 4 pucks are 40* optics and the exterior 4 are 70*.

Not sure I understand the question. I use AI SOLs and they cover a 24x24 area the depth will be determined by optics.

1.) Someone may correct me, but I would remove the canister and stir the DI resin to close the channel. Change it out when you water starts testing out of desired ranges. 2.) I wash my containers out every couple months. Do you have a constant source of agitation in the water? I keep small...

    Mystery Algae

You don't need to remove your fish. This is going to drop the bio load and cause a depletion of the beneficial bacteria as there would be no need for them to grow into larger colonies. You can cut back you lighting cycle to remove the amount of photosynthetic fuel the GHA has and perform water...
