    Nate, I have an idea on the Miami orchid. In both tanks, I have it located really high up. Almost at the tip of water. I say I have my lights 12 inches above the water. Maybe it is a light issue. My alk is always around 10 and cal is roughly around 400. Hope that helps.

    Nate, Honestly, I don't know what the secret is. My maimi orchid has always had colors. Even in different tanks. Wish I had an answer for you.

    Hey!!! How you doing? The site hasn't been the same since it changed....Also, I have been kind of burned out from reefing. Took some time off to refresh my reef energy :) This tank has been around for a year now and lots have changed. Thought I would give an update to it.

    Thanks... Everything is very happy except the duncans. For some reason it closed up the last week. Not sure if the clowns are bothering it too much.

    I haven't updated for awhile now. Finally got the LEDs up and running roughly 3-4 months now. Things are doing great but I do notice some color changes in my LPS....My red Scoly has now turned Orange...Really weird. Anyhow, Enjoy!!! Rainbow Acan Purple Monster Miami Orchid Pink...

    Forum Server update

    Not sure if this is a problem related to the update or not. I just logged on this morning and the site keeps on asking me to download a file. Internet explorer is blocking the download for security reasons. I haven't encountered this before.

    What would cause this kind of recession on a chalice?

    I guess I have missed this thread. I would try and cut off the dead skeleton and move it to a higher position off to the side of the tank. This way it won't get too much light and still get flow and be away from other corals. Good luck
