Sand trade, get yourself some biodiversity for your sand.

Well, you asked for it! So I tossed the sand already. And of course as soon as I did, I got a PM about it. It's been in the yard all day. Oh well.

I know, and you know no one will come and get it I am sure. It's all going in the yard within a couple of days. I can't believe you got your wife pregnant again...3 kids??? You must be some kind of masochist!

    Our 120

Yeah, they look good guys. The camera thing is a lot more talent and experience than you would think. Learning on a "crappy" camera could very well make you a better photographer down the road when you get a good one. There is a lot written about taking tank pics but you can start with the...

Catching fish? 3 of the crew: Uh oh... Actually we did not find anything too disturbing. Maybe 10 bristleworms 2 - 3" long, and this claw. Not too bad since the rock came directly into the tank with no "curing". Video Montage. I did not get much since we were so busy!

The super good news is that Big Blue made it to Fargo alive and well. In fact the observation was that he was very relaxed and in excellent condition. I cannot express how happy I am about that.

Thank you Dang. The whole breakdown went extremely smoothly with all rock and animals out in less than 3 hours. The only real snag was when I got to the airport with Big Blue and they wouldn't take him, saying I wasn't a "known shipper". After having me and my buddy there with the crazy eyes for...

Well, it has been too long between updates! The tank is running fine, params are good, and I am getting closer to the break down. That will be happening on the Wednesday the 27th of May. The exciting news is that I have found a home for Big Blue. He will be going to a large system in Fargo, ND...

    New to the Northwest/Water Quality

Water quality all depends on the source of course. My well reads about 80 ppm on average, but it varies in nitrates and phosphates. It's not so much the "ppm" but what it is made of since somethings are nmore difficult to filter out than others. The fact that you have "1 ppm" out bound means...

no sweat Dang. I had them under some T-5 so maybe they are used to more light. They'll eventually adjust I am sure.
