    YEP i washed mine out with water and vinegar... filled with water to rinse it out then wiped it dry.

    Concern for tank care--from a relative newbie.

    I would prob do more water changes. I have a 70 gallon and I change about 10-15 gallons every two weeks. Also make sure your using ro/di water when doing changes and mix the water for 24hrs before you do the change over. Maybe check the levels of your salt water before adding it to the tank then...

    This is really turning out to be a big gig.. Cant wait to meet some of you all.. I will be bring the wife and kid.. And some slow cooker meat balls in a sweet and spicy sauce.. Prob will be bringing some budlight for me cause I am just a cheap beer loving type guy..

    Got a tank dumped on me, don't know what to do!!

    I would recommend going to the nano section and just looking at all the different setups that you can try to help keep animals alive. hydor make some small little skimmers that might fit in your back area.. and I would agree with water changes and making sue there is current in the tank...

    i was sort of thinking about drilling a hole in the side of it as a back up over flow.. I would have to glue a new piece across the whole bottom and drill 2 holes and I dont think I want to do that.

    YOU have most excellent choices in skimmers and reactors...lol man even our sumps look very similar..lol how many inches of water do you have your skimmer running at?
