Does anyone know if APFP in Burien does 20% off reef stuff only or FW and other stuff too? I mean like what if I wanted a coral, a couple misc inverts, a tarantula, a few freshwater fish and plants, a frog, and a puppy? (We'll add the last one for kicks LOL--on the others, I'm serious!)...

Barrier Reef in support of PSAS

Just extend the sale, Cy, with the agreement of emails being sent out. It's just five bucks per ric, no skin off your hide. :)

Barrier Reef in support of PSAS

Herefishyfishy - A few people have been mentioning whether they get their livestock and equipment online or in LFS's, so I gave my experience. JUST LIKE SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE DID. And yes, I'm a member as of yesterday.

Barrier Reef in support of PSAS

Personally, most of the reefers I know go online for livestock and drygoods. *shrug*

Barrier Reef in support of PSAS

Wait, I'm FROM the PNW! (Well, not originally, but I've been here since my mid-childhood.) I'd even considered moving away earlier this year--typical youthful wanderlust--but realized that I love the trees and the people (well, some of them ;) LOL!) just too much. And I'm actually a big...

    Difference between scolymia & cynaria...ID

It's hard to differentiate in real terms as far as the difference between Scolymia and Cynarina... I sort of can just "tell", lol. This one is a Scolymia, which tends to be more wrinkly, textured, while Cynarina (lol I typed "cynaruba" for some reason) is more "bubbly"... Lmao that's the best...

    Fish painkillers?

Yup, did a search. I'd like to get it tomorrow, so I'll just go by the lfs's to see if they have it. We don't have it where I work. I guess I could call instead of driving all over the place, lol.

    Fish painkillers?

Awesome. Do you know offhand where I could get either of those products? (And do you know the manufacturer[s], by chance?) Is it carried by Petco, Petsmart, etc.? Or only a marine-specific place? Upon the suggestion of adding a stress coat product by a buddy, I remembered that I had a small...

    Fish painkillers?

Yeah, I saw no blood whatsoever (but he's so tiny!--and my vision isn't what it used to be, and I'm only 22 years old!), but the injuries are definitely limited to just skin, a bit of muscle (two gouges, eek), and maybe a little connective tissue, and only in his tail and back; his most...

    Multiple Dwarf Angels

(coral beauty, flame, bi-color and lemon peel) The coral beauty and flame will be fine--you could do a pair of each, too. The bicolor is not only often non-reef-safe, but also non-living a lot of the time. Flamebacks are B%^$*@ES! I wouldn't put them with anything except large angels and...

    Fish painkillers?

Wow, excellent points brought up. Thanks! :) I do think it's quite apparent that fish do feel pain--is that wriggling on the sharp piece of metal, hanging from that very wound, just an "instinctive reaction" and not a response to negative stimulus? But alas, I've never done any sort of research...

    Fish painkillers?

Okay.... Is there any sort of topical or dip-solution type of painkiller for fish? Long story short, my new baby hepatus tang was attacked by my little emerald crab. Caught the fight in time, within a minute of the little fella getting caught, but he's hurt--not mortally, necessarily, as no...
