    +1 on rinsing dry sand before filling your tank. You'll be happy you spent 1/2 hour cleaning your sand.

    Did you end up changing the lighting under the hood? Looks great so far. make sure to take a whole tank shot. I miss my old biocube. Treat it well. I also hope your anemone comes out to play. does it come out for a little while and then hide? or does it hide ALL the time?

    If I had not run out of Philippine pesos I might have tried to stay longer. It was hard to come back to freezing weather and snow now. Was really enjoying the san miguel beer and 15 year old tanduay rhum (like $8 a bottle) I was hoping the warm weather would tag along but no luck sorry all. LoL

    if the piece of equipment is small enough i use it straight for fast results. If the equipment is bigger i go 1/2 and 1/2 with water and I personally found warming the water not only cleans your heater but works better.
