    Jesse_Emel's Oceanic Biocube 29 Gallon

I think it will be much better than the stock setup myself. I wanted to get everything i thought i needed at once so i can clean it, set it up and just let it run without ripping it apart multiple times while in operation. One and done theory. Course we all know that's never how it goes.

    Jesse_Emel's Oceanic Biocube 29 Gallon

Got all the parts and pieces for the Biocube upgrade in this week. Just waiting on a small fitting from Central Aquatics for the stock return nozzle and we'll be good to go. Can't wait to get the LED's installed into the hood.

    Jesse_Emel's Oceanic Biocube 29 Gallon

Good news..... I am planning on modifying the return nozzles for this tank. Adding some 1/2" lock line with a "Y" adapter and noticed the person who owned this tank before me took off the stock return nozzle and modified it. So i needed the stock adapter that goes on the display side of the tank...

    Jesse_Emel's Oceanic Biocube 29 Gallon

Thanks Eileen I'm so ready to get back into reefing and get some cool corals and fish going in this tank. True Terrance, I tried to do a bunch or research before I made any purchases so hopefully I don't order any parts that don't work. But i found the original Biocube was not optimal for...

    Jesse_Emel's Oceanic Biocube 29 Gallon

Thanks IPisces I could not argue with the price of the tank. It's left me with some room in my budget for some much needed improvements/upgrades. I'll certainly be posting lots of pics once progress starts being made.

    Jesse_Emel's Oceanic Biocube 29 Gallon

Hey everyone I've been looking to get back into the hobby for some time now. I happened to find this Oceanic Biocube on Craigslist for $100 and jumped on it. My 1st tank was a similar Biocube so I'm familiar with the pro's and con's of this tank. I've ordered an LED upgrade for the hood from...

    Joshua's 29g Biocube

Hey I just also got a biocube and I'm ordering a whole LED upgrade for the hood. Give me a little while and I may have a LED power supply you can have.

    210 Gallon In Wall Build

The only thing i can think of is a fuge compartment for healthy pod populations and biological filtration via some cheato, other types of beneficial algae more live rock and a deeper sand bed. You'll need a sump light in that case as well. It looks like the area under the tank is wide open and...

    210 Gallon In Wall Build

Beautiful Install. Back in the day I also had a 210 Display with 125 Sump. The one thing i did NOT notice in your new setup, was a vent fan in your fish room to the outside. The window is in there and could be opened (temporary solution) which is good but you may want to think of installing a...

Agreed, and hopefully I can talk Josh into coming back as a contributing member of the site as well he's been out of the hobby for 5-6 years now.

57 gallon oceanic illuminata rimless build

But don't worry Mrs. Gina I'll keep in touch and hopefully will be back in the hobby sooner rather than later. And you know i'll be knocking on your door for some frags, HaHa

57 gallon oceanic illuminata rimless build

Just a quick update..... Sometime this month I'll be taking the tank down and helping it relocate to it's new home. I'll be heading back to school to take enough classes to challenge and pass the E.I.T. Test and won't have time to maintain the tank. It's going to to a good home to the guy who...

    To Catch a Predator

Good luck with the catch, I also caught my CBS snacking on a fish corpse one morning when i came into work. He got banished to the sump of shame. But he loves it down there and has been alive for 2 years as the sump guardian.

HELP!! Is my Illuminata coming apart???

I looked at my illuminata tank and the glass is slightly off on the top but not near as drastic as yours. If the gaps are growing i would beware. Mines been up and running for 4+ years now and i have non of those problems, except the chip i put in mine where i smacked it with a glass water...

57 gallon oceanic illuminata rimless build

I would like to send out a big THANK YOU! To Kevin at Aquatic Dreams. I took my whole lighting fixture into his store last night and he took it apart, replaced the blown ballast and put it back together for me. He even checked the wiring schematics like 5 times before wiring it up. He also took...

Do Nassarius snails reproduce in tanks?

Back in the day when i 1st set up my 40B tank in my office i found this..... So i would say it's very possible.

57 gallon oceanic illuminata rimless build

I promise, I got my new light bulbs installed and a week later either a bulb blew or a ballast popped inside my lighting fixture. I have to make a visit to Aquatic Dreams and have Kevin take a look at the lighting situation before i can post any more pics. The tank is looking really good. The...
