    Crab Trap

    Thanks for the words of encouragement. Two nights of using the water bottle and nothing. I have pulled four molts out of my tank. I will try the open bottle next. If that doesn't work I am very tempted to tear the tank apart and try to wash out the rock with a hose. How dangerous is that?

    How does aging change tap water? I know that chlorine will off-gas, but I didn't think chloramines did. And it wouldn't change the TDS would it?

    If one inherits a bunch of old rock, that has been out of the water for a long time, and then places it in a tank with fresh live rock, will the creatures that make live rock "live" reproduce and convert the old dead rock to live rock? If so, how long would the process take?
