    I've not known anyone to have good luck with bamboo w/fish, have you? I've set up and maintained a lot of freshies for the store i worked at, and people with bamboo always seemed to be replacing fish.

    It's only the world's largest "cylinder" tank, that's in a german hotel. I think the largest is still that 2million gallon one in the Bahamas Atlantis.

    a metal halide bulb turned on and sitting on actual plexiglass may cause it to melt the tank a bit. I'm not sure someone would do such a thing knowingly.

    Does anyone drink RO/DI water?

    doesn't distilled water have a very low oxygen content? wiki says it's ok, but that it lacks alot of the good stuff your body/teeth needs, and using purely distilled in aquariums is not even advised.
