Shipping costs are really preventing me from going with online ordering. I'll call Barrier and see if they can order one for me in their next shipment.

So I adjusted the back one down a little and changed the mode on the vortech's to see if that helps more. The flat worms are still happy and wild in the tank... so flatworm exit didn't get em....Melanarus wrasse here I come.. as soon as one comes in stock at the fishy store near me :)

So on towards a different topic... let's talk water flow.. I have two MP40's in the tank and I have 2 swirls on top along with another input flow on top.. however, I am getting a pretty large algea dead zone in the back by the overflow. Which makes it really hard to clean due to location being...

So far it seems the treatment has killed over half the flatworm population with no ill effect to my tank. I am going to syphon the sand again tonight and do all sorts of water chemistry tests.. I need to learn how to do the titration tests..since I now have 3 corals to care for..I guess I should...

Post use and water change... This morning the tank is clear and so far there has been no ill effect on the tank. The fish are fine and eating, The coral seems fine no discoloring or goop or necrosis. The issue to watch for now that I pulled the trigger is to manage water chemistry for any build...

I ended up finding some flatworm exit at Barrier Reef. As far as my process I will definitely blog away. I had no idea that those little red flakes were worms...I assumed algae..so needless to say my infestation is nasty.. I came back from vacation and it was like the world hatched... So..my...

I used RPS but I think they hitchhiked on a snail. I didn't quarantine those. I will go and get some of the chemical as they are spreading fast.. I water ready and carbon so we will see how this works out today. Thanks ! I hope your tanks are going well :0

So far no new necrosis this morning.. I will check further when I get home tonight. On a cool note.. I think my Pajama Cardinals are breeding.. I saw one with his mouth super swollen for about 3-4 days and then it was back to normal this morning..so either ate the eggs..or spawned? Maybe little...

1 week in. Torch is looking good. The clowns looking good. Keeping my eye on one as it may be getting a white spot..? Not sure..yet. Both are eating well. But sad news my acropora is loosing some flesh on the left side. Two of the branches turned white. I hope it doesn't get worse.. Not sure...

I personally didn't QT my snails and hermits. I did dip both corals and decided to wait at least 2 weeks before adding them. But I was told from the store that I could put the Torch in after I dipped. For some reason I am waiting to do so?? Just in case?
