    Makeme1098's Neo 90

Thanks! I noticed that, then when I was building my stand I almost did the same thing, but I caught it early enough where it wasnt to big of a deal to change.

    Makeme1098's Neo 90

No i couldnt justify spending the amount of money they wanted for the stand and hood, when I knew with some time and patience and alot less money I could build my own...so here are a few pics for now.

    Lighting recommendation

I'd get the Nova extreme Pro, over just the extreme. We have had the extr. 4 bulb fixture on a 55- 19" deep(IIRR), and the pro 6 bulb on a 46- 22" deep. The pro has individual switches and fans. The other gets reeeally hot, and it wasn't as easy to use. We didn't have much luck with Sps under...

    Dropsy

We have had a lawnmower blenny that whenever the mag in the tank dropped would develop a "pregnant" looking tummy. We'd raise the mag and it would correct itself. Just our experience, hth.

    New Zoo's, need help!

Thanks for the input everybody. I tried doing a dip of seachem coral disinfectant. I put the hornet zoa in there, and squirted it with the water a bit. The force of the water was enough to pop most of the polyps off. Not a good sign I'm thinking. SO, I dumped the frag. I think it's a goner and...

    New Zoo's, need help!

I'm afraid it's spreading, my armor of gods aren't opening today, and they have a redish algaae looking skin on top of the closed polyps. Can i stck the infected zoas in a little 10gal by them selves with just a powerhead for a few days while i see if the treatment works? Do they need light if...

Hi Khaos, that's awesome! Sounds like you've found a little helper! I just spent the day reading your RC thread on your build. Good god man! I'm glad you made it through all that, and I can't wait to see what tat you get for your scar. Those were some grisly pics!

    New Zoo's, need help!

Fungus huh? Thanks for the info!!! I appreciate the help, there's always something new with these tanks..... I will have to go get some furan 2 in the morning. Is the fungus something in my tank, or was it more likely to have come in on the frags? Ughh, I really hope this doesn't spread!!

    New Zoo's, need help!

Last Monday I bought two zoo frags at the lfs, and one (red hornet morph)wasn't opening at the time, due to being fragged, and the other (green/blue) was open and happy. The hornet that wasn't opened started growing what looks like white sponge material on the whole frag. I can blow it off...

    Cleaning Crew Ideas

2 hermit crabs, 3 snails, as a general starting number. Then see how they do keeping up with your tank. Crabs can be, well, crabs, and attack your snails eventually. With 14 gallons you probably won't need much, we have a 29g thats a year old, and we have like 4 snails. We had 4 hermits crabs...

    tide pool build

That looks like it'll be really interesting to see how it goes!! I'll be tagging along! I've heard that condensation on the glass can be a problem for these tanks. It'd be cool if you could talk to the people at point defiance aquarium, in the tide pool room, heck even get ideas from it. Good...
