    Jiddy's 220g MASTERPIECE!

Have you thought of doing the mags inline? We did that with a sequence and nearly blew all the water out of the tank, and had to undo it. Man you should have heard the Oceans Motion scream! We are rethinking that now...

    Should I use an UGF?

Caulerpa I know alot of people have problems with Caulerpa going aesexual, but I have never had that problem. I leave the 'fuge lights on 24 hours a day 365 days a year, and have found some really cheap and efficient ways to light it. My husband found this 10K bulb that burns so cool you can...

My 700 Gallon Starfire Tank Project

Bb Yeah we decided to go BB so I could keep Acros, and the high flow we decided to do in the tank. My husband claims there is 30,000 GPH of flow in there with the pinductors (eductors). So sand wouldn't stick to the bottom... I personally liek sand, and all the little critters that go into...

Feeding Large Tangs Well, I feed 3 sheets of Nori twice a day, and once a day I feed a few large pinches of Omega One Flake, that I combined myself of their meaty flake food and the seaweed flakes. I think I got the cyano from feeding this other inferior food, which I have ditched, I never had...

    Should I use an UGF?

I started with a 100 gallon aquarium with approximately 200 lbs of live rock and a crappy bio ball system with the lamest skimmer around. I kept crashing over and over every year and almost gave up. Then someone introduced me to caulerpa, and my tanks have been so stable I used to throw fully...

    Phosphate

I recently got the rowaphos and I am trying it out. I used to use the phosban. I feed so much food I think the ash content in the food is what is driving my phosphates off the scale. Even with really high flow (overkill amount of flow) I see cyano in places, and in the sump. I bought a herd...

My 700 Gallon Starfire Tank Project

Well I hope you like looking at my pics, no one on RC ever will. PS they did not ban me for calling anyone a name. I did however refer to them as nazi's here, and I apologize to nazi's everywhere, I am doing them a disservice by comparing them to the moderators on RC.

My 700 Gallon Starfire Tank Project

Well we got int the new ASM G6 and it ROCKS! I got it just in time to overload the tank with all these new fish. Here is a pic of some of the anthias schooling, it is not the whole herd, as they seem a bit shy right now, but I see the others hiding out in the rocks. Here is a pic of the...

My 700 Gallon Starfire Tank Project

Flatlander, you have a right to disagree, just as I have the right to complain. How would you like to be banned for disagreeing? I like this site, and if I got banned or told I could not post my thoughts here, I would go elsewhere. You see this place is actually fair, and they are letting...

    Visio of the room layout.

Here is how we plan on making the room layout. The only change to this is we are adding a 135 gallon refugium/copepod growout station to the right of the tank, and have it dump pods into the 700.
  13. ASM G5 Skimmer

    ASM G5 Skimmer

We are waiting on the G6 to come in, we thought this skimmer was a little small for the load the tangs are putting on the system.

    Sumps and CA Reactor

These are 200 Gallon Horse troughs, we have a total of three for the filtration.

The back of the tank and walkway

  19. Front of the tank

    Front of the tank

Here is a shot fo the front of the tank to give you some ideas of the dimensions of this thing, it is 10 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot, the front and right hand side are Starfire.
  20. These are the pinductors/eductors

    These are the pinductors/eductors

We put these on for increased water movement in the tank, our estimates are that we have some 30,000 gallons of water flow.
