    It's been a few years but I am starting a 150 gal tank up. Really haven't decided on what type of tank yet but I have been looking at lighting. Just when I quit reefing, LED lighting was coming on the scene. Now, I can't find a single retail place on line that sells it. Did I miss something...

    Just so you know I am not suggesting putting a snowflake in every reef. Just works for me, they do knock down corals by accident.

    Feed him some thawed white shrimp (the kind you eat) with anything but your fingers. Even if small they are hit and miss feeders so use tongs.     Really amazing for one year. What type of plants do you have in there? Top right looks like something you might not want if it's the invasive species it looks like.

    I have really become convinced that color is what a reef is all about. The dreary browns, greys, and off whites are just plain boring. Yeah, it's nice to have those species...yawn. COLOR like nature please.

    This is the first time I have seen a planted SW tank! IMPRESSIVE! What types of life live there besides plants? Seahorses?

    Growing phyto

    I read a thread once that said not to make your own because of a heavy metal (lead) build-up that occurs. You need serious filters to remove it. That might have been misinformation but I just never grew it because of that. Anybody know more? Sure would save me money, that stuff is expensive!
