    Question regarding compatible fish.

    I have a MP40 in there turned down to about 80%. The problem with the PH on the sand idea is I have sugar sized sand so it gets blow all over the place when I have the Vortech turned up. Thank you very much for the input and compliments. I guess I forgot what it was like to have a young tank...

    the tank with the sand problem is very young....a couple months old. This tank is purely temporary housing....it is a 3x3 and the shark is around 8 inches. We are building up a much larger tank. We just have to settle on final dimensions...we keep bouncing back and forth between 10x6 or 8x5.

    He will be able to do so very shortly. I have been extremely busy at work getting called in for additional shifts and even working some doubles until we ramp back up.....need new hires.....anyway. I work 12 hours shifts as it is so doubles are a smooth 24. I have 7 off coming in 2 more days...

    I had a starfish but either the shark or the ray disposed of him. I have a 3x3 cube with nasty brown stuff on sand. Railway just isn't cutting it. And I have a 2 inch Diamond Goby in my 2x2x2 cube but I cant stop thinking he will become a meal in the big tank.

    Can a Railway Goby and a Diamond Goby live in the same tank? I have Railway but he isn't really doing the job like a Diamond Goby does. He seems more interested in eating food then cleaning sand. My sand is getting ridiculously dirty.....I need a efficient cleaner.

    You can always pick some up from some of us. But you are going to be paying shipping. Might be worth it if you are worried about the quality of their rock out there. You can always just buy theirs and boil it too. That works.

    Again....I have never dosed. I believe in better salts provide better results...but that is just me. I know there have been several debates over salts and whether or not there is an actual difference and so on. I have used Tropic Marin since day 1 and have not had a single issue with low calcium...

    I am going to have to disagree here. I can tell you this....my 250w HQI MH set up is almost half as much as the LED set up that I would have to get. Difference is I don't have to replace the bulbs on the LED's every 9 months like I do with MH. But LED's are NOT cheaper....not if you get the good...

    I would probably go built in overflow. You CAN add fish or corals. But typically the better idea is just have sand, rock, water in the tank for a while to get it all cycled and ready for life. I added macro algae to my tank when I first set it up and it cycled pretty quickly. I wouldn't add...
