cadillacs 72 bow in the tattoo studio

For flashy and reef safe I like the firefish goby. Ours are always out flashing and twitching up a storm. Edit: I just saw you have a 6 line wrasse. Ours harassed the firefish and had to go, but it's all on the personality of the particular wrasse.

    So what counts?

Just curious, what counts as a "North Sound Reefer"? Is there a dividing line, if you're south of exit 170 on I-5 you're out of luck? :becky: I'm mostly joking but I was curious where the north sound reefers met, I've seen Everett, is this about central? How does one become a North Sound...

    Sumps and rodi units

By far the easiest and fastest and probably cheapest way for DIY. Just measure the max size that you can get under the stand. Consult a chart like this one: Fish Aquarium and Tank  Sizes and Characteristics, starting an aquarium, buying equipment, choosing tanks to pick the tank (I'd use at...

    new fish suggestions

I ended up turning off all my lights, draining half my tank and trapping him in a corner with a sheet of plastic so I could scoop him. Another idea is to wait for an hour or two after the lights go off and find where he sleeps and scoop him out then. I was a bit too impatient to try that.

    new fish suggestions

Stay away from a firefish goby. My sixline chased him all over the tank. Finally had to half drain the tank to get the sixline out. Gave it to my brother in law and found out last night it tried to pick on a lion fish and ended up lunch. I found my firefish to be great for the mid tank area...

    Help IDing crabs

Thanks coralcrab, I have noticed them going after algae like mad so I wasn't too concerned when we first got them, it was just the weird behavior when the tang came near.

    Help IDing crabs

Thanks! That makes me feel a lot better, everywhere else I went had actual green emerald crabs so I was doubting my sanity and wondering if they were something else and harmful.

Tecno and Rocknerd's 90 gallon build

Thanks guys. dtd87 the firefish just love to hang out in the center of the tank when anyone is around and just strut. I did stop by Barrier Reef, I knew it was probably a mistake stopping in, but I saw this guy and just couldn't pass him up.

    Help IDing crabs

I was hoping someone here would help my wife and I identify the crabs we bought from Denny's Pet World. They were sold as emerald crabs but for some reason (they're not green) I've been doubting it. They seem to mow down algae but tonight we saw them try to go after our Yellow Eyed Kole Tang...

Tecno and Rocknerd's 90 gallon build

Day 23 pics We added another firefish (2 females as far as we can tell, 2 lawnmower blennies and a pulsing xenia) a few days back, but I didn't take pics. Thanks Rob for helping with with my refugium. He gave me some variety in the macro algae. And that's how it stands today...

Tecno and Rocknerd's 90 gallon build

Day 16: Sump build! (I'm excited to get rid of the plastic tub). 1" baffles 12" tall for the trap 13 for the refugium. 3" stand for a future skimmer (SWC 160 cone) Bubble tower, I didn't take a picture after it was drilled out or filled with liverock. (TAP plastic's scrap bin, total cost...

Day 10: Decided to add a 6 line wrasse, cleaner shrimp and a firefish. (The wrasse turned out to be a little bastard, but that's another story)
