    Give him some time he will come out and swim for food. I would just up the feeding a bit to make sure he gets something.:)

    I would just defrost the food and dump it in the tank, if he is hungry he will swim around to get more.

    Yes a great opportunity to remove detris keep 2 cups of the old and start with new sand I think some cycle at this point is inevitable.:) I used garbage cans " new " when I moved my tank it worked like a charm. sorry to hear of your bad luck with your tank.

    I have seen lots of dead sand at my lfs. Most of the time they want way more for the live stuff, and sell it in small bags wet. Good luck it should not be a problem to find it.

    Ok Salifert test kits 9.3 dkh calcium 400 ppm magnesium 1380 ppm ph 8.15 no3 -0 po4 -0 sal 1.023 or- 58. Temp 79 I feel that I recover some money by not having to adjust my water before using.

    I have been trying Tropic Marin pro reef for 4 months now and I love this stuff. The readings are better than I have ever had from a new mix. The only draw back is the cost.:shock:

    You know you are a reefer when you can't leave anywhere all summer because I won't trust anyone to take care of the tank. Even for 1 day.:oops:

    How big is the Domino? I had one that was 4" around. Mine was the most aggressive fish in the tank by far. Mine got more aggressive as it got older. Damsels are not good community fish.

    Those are very cool I love the look of them. On the other hand they are hard to keep happy. I would put it in a place that is very easy to feed daily regardless of how much light it is getting. It will die of starvation long before the algae can get it. You have c.f. lighting so not a big...
