Since I've got em', may as well show em' This just might be the hardest coral to photograph effectively that I have. I just can't seem to get the different shades of blue that fade to a purplish hue towards the tips. Plus no matter what I do it always seems out of focus a little.

Thanks again everyone for your very generous comments. I guess the grass is always greener, I look at my tank and think of how far I have yet to go before it's how I want it to look. Sorry csdoyle, I never did start a tank build thread and don't have any current "behinds the scenes" write up...

    Stylo transition

Kevin it is smack in the middle of the tank located directly under the center bracing so it is a little hard to photogragh top down. It gets pretty good random flow. When I got this coral it was about grapefruit size and it is now at least 7-8" across. I call this one my "rainbow stylo" since it...

    Need Id of these corals

It is a birdsnest but to me the first pic looks more like S.calliendrum(spelling) than S.hystrix by the blunt branch tips. Hystrix is sharp & pointy. I agree with the 2nd id, perhaps maybe even a.lorips but I am leaning towards a.granulosa.
