April Meeting, what does the Club want to do?

If I don't have much to pay forward but can I still join and become a member? As soon as I can GROW a few frags again I will be able to pay forward! Hope someone may have a bit-o-frogspawn that made it nine years before my tank-o-death in the south sound. I struggled to not give up after...

    Aptasia - Peppermint shrimp

Still have them and they seem to be keeping to themselves. No aptasia . I suppose I could trap them but can't seem to see a reason to do it. My SPS, LPS, zoos, etc are all fine as far as I can tell.

    28 inch Cylinder (Rotation) Ideas

Wow, I guess I am to late. Any ideas where I could get a small motor and a digital timer? That seems to be the biggest problem. I would need to get a wheel type too that would allow a very strong connect and a gear to slow the turn rate down. I have a guy working on acrylic $$. A bowl that...

    28 inch Cylinder (Rotation) Ideas

I have to head out to work but DonW thanks and please keep the ideas coming. Where could I get BB, a centering bearing, and a motor type mechanism. I am pretty clueless to this other than the concept. The drain type would have to be like a stationary overflow box? Could it be engineered to...

    28 inch Cylinder (Rotation) Ideas

Would it because of what they see outside the tank that would mess with their equilibrium? The rotation would be extremely slow. Maybe even slower than I guessed. The environment would be in a constant change and I wonder what they would detect. Corals may benefit as well. Similar to the...

    28 inch Cylinder (Rotation) Ideas

I would appreciate any advice on how to make a 28-29 inch rotating plate for a cylinder tank that I would like to set up. It is probably crazy but I am considering building a tank that would somehow rotate one revolution in 5-10 minutes. The tank/center rock rotation will pass the flow input...

I am looking for any ideas and especially photos for making life easier getting coralline algae off acrylic on depths below 24" which is about the max of my arm length. It is the lower 6-8 inches on my 300 gallon tank. I currently use a Great White magnetic cleaner but I seem to be loosing...
