    Slate's 125gal build

Thanks for the offer but it came with legs. I just hadn't put them on yet when I took the pic. Eventually I will hang it in a canopy when I build it. But I probably wont be building one till spring. I just ordered an Eheim 1260 pump for the return :D.

    Increasing salinty

I agree with Sid, just top off with saltwater. Heck that is even what Lee suggests for raising salinity after doing a hypo treatment, and he is a smart fella.

    Slate's 125gal build

Pics of painting the back of the tank. Going to get the inside of the stand painted tomorrow or Wed. evening. Next thing I will work on is finding a suitable water container to make a gravity fed ATO that will fit under the stand next to the sump.

    125 progression thread

A very suiting name! I will keep up the chocolate chip mint name here with the Eastern WA folks then.

    Moving into a bigger tank

Whatever you can do to make things more comfortable and give time get the tank set up let stuff clam down before you go throwing livestock into it. I am sure folks will chime in with great ideas/experience as well.

    125 progression thread

Hey Adam and Crystal, I know you guys posted this pic months back but I was looking through your thread again for inspiration for my current 125gallon build and realized you guys have these zoas which I also have. I got them from a local refer at a swap and have never been able to find the name...

    Moving into a bigger tank

Is the new tank going in the location the current tank is? If not you can always just get the new one set up and let it run a couple days and then slowly move stuff over. Otherwise I would suggest using large rubbermaid tubs to house all your livestock and rock with powerheads during the...

    Hitch hiker

That is awesome Adam! I love inverts and to get something rare like that as a hitchhiker is just too cool. Hopefully they avoid predators in your tank and stay with you for a while.

    Slate's 125gal build

Going to paint the back of the tank and the inside of the stand tomorrow. I moved the tank into the garage and got it all taped off tonight, paint to come in the morning after I clean the glass one more time. I think I will be calling my buddy to help me move it back into the house after it is...

    Hey all!

Tyler! Welcome back man. Great to hear you are getting a business going. I still have all the LPS colonies I bought off you back when you tore down the 180. I'm not sure I can frag all of them right now but I can get you some stuff and I have a whammin watermelon frag I can hook you up with...

    new fish

I've never kept a Leopard wrasse personally. But my guess is that if it is buried in your sand bed even if you touch it, it probably wont move. It wouldn't want to give away its position unless it absolutely had to. I would avoid disturbing the sand for a while. It probably thinks you are...

    Slate's 125gal build

Thanks to willlandcorina I got the sump this past Sunday. It was a little tall but Will was nice enough to cut it down 2 inches for me! Dimensions now are 30"x14.5"x17". I cleaned it up a little and overall I think it will work perfect for this build. I just need to cut down the baffle for...
