    Slate's 125gal build

Gave most of it away to other folks in the club. What is left I am going to mount on plugs and send with Joanne to sell at Seamax to benefit the club :)

Here are a couple pics of the new Tomini Tang. Both tangs have been all over the place kicking up sand so that coupled with this guy being a little shy didn't make for very good pics. I also got a picture of my Red Planet frag that you can actually see the frag! lol

I got a Tomini Tang from Brandy today and added him the tank. He is settling in nicely and is a BEAUTY. It is hilarious to watch him and my little sailfin. The sailfin is about half his size but she is still running the new tomini around the tank showing him that she owns every rock. There...

low water chemistry and floating particulates

Well if the particulates were that large it def wasn't your typical bacteria cloud. I think we need to get one of these lazy mods to move this Boomer's forum. :banplease:

low water chemistry and floating particulates

Kind of hard to say. Can you describe the particulates at all? Did it appear like a white cloud in the upper half of your tank? The fact that it is a new set up makes me wonder if it was actually a bacteria cloud. Did you add anything to add to bioload around this time?

I don't have experience with any of the butterflyfish personally. I would guess that they are like most butterflyfish though, and coral eaters :(.

I would think you would be ok. Tang aggression usually is directed towards other tangs of the same species. Usually bristle tooth tangs, like the tomini, fly under the radar of the other, larger, species. However, with tangs liking other tangs you are always rolling the dice a little bit. I...

Thanks Matt! I am working hard to keep the different algae blooms under control but beyond that everything is going nice and easy now that it is up and running. So no complaints!

Yeah, Barbie carries algae sheets and most of the basic pets stores that carry any saltwater products will as well. I personally use the red algae sheets because I have noticed my fish go crazy for them compared to the green or brown. Barbie will tell you the same thing. However, the green...

You will want to feed the Tang dried algae sheets as well. Gotta make sure tangs get enough veggies!

My wife was just talking about wanting to do a Seattle trip and this is the weekend after finals. This might just work out to my advantage!

Monti from Charlie. Purple Haze is my best guess for what it is. Either way me likes :). This is a bad picture but, I had to take it cause my wife says that this frag, which Michael and Angie gave me, looks phallic up on top of the rock like this lmao. Green Stylo, also from Charlie. FYI...

Thank you! You'll really like the 125. The dimensions are a lot of fun to work with.
