    Have 145 lbs liverock and 70 lbs of lace rock alive yet? When i said alk at 3.5 that was mql Would be 7 dkh I think

    So what I am hearing is sterilize holding cont. Keep holding water at same as main and do massive water change and see what nitrates are at. Should I use seperate pumps and lines in main tank when doing any water contact between the holding and the main

    nitrites 0ppm ammonia in main tank 0 phosphates at 0ppm alk at 3.5 calcium at 390 but nitrates still at 10 to 20 ppm no corals yet just liverock and 2 clarksies and 5 green chromis 1 6 line wrasse and one tang. trying to wait out nitrates before corals

    I keep water in barrel at room temp while sitting about 72 f . in laundry room Keep display at 77.5f

    Black barrel stays with lid on it, I just realized I use the same pump to drain from display and also fill bucket to refill display . Is this enough to cross contaminate barrell

    every Sunday I do a 20 gallon water change keep salt at 1.025 so there are approx 12 gallons left in holding I refill on sunday eve from a rodi drip then water sits for one week with airstone running

    When I went to do my weekly water change the water felt slimy so I tested ammonia was 0.25 how is that possible. Did the water in holding start to cycle in none week
