My aqua c remora just wont skim?

Have you tried it without the modded impellar? I don't think you are supposed to mod the impellar on those, they inject air at a different point than at the pump. I could be wrong though :)

    My Coldwater Tank

Great looking tank! Any fish in there? And, is that a monster purple starfish in there? What do you feed it?

Any clue as to what this is?

Could it be a small plate coral, if it has a hard base????

    id please

The only thing that I have seen it hurt are the small bristle star's. They act drunk on the stuff, and at that high of dose it may kill some of them. I think you could wait a while, to see if there are any eggs that hatch. I would check the zoa colonies for any egg clusters, they will be...

Flatworm Exit is a product you can get at the LFS to get rid of flatworms, however it also works on nudi's!

    id please

If the problem continues to exist then you will need to do a flatworn exit treatment, one now, and another in a week, then maybe one more a week after that. I have used flatworm exit, as has my neighbor, with great success at treating nudis. You have to do multiple treatments to kill the new...

    reef novice getting started

Welcome aboard! The slower the better! I think you will be fine adding the sand with a few power heads, you may want to run some sort of filtration to catch all of the fine particulate matter coming off of the sand. I think you would be fine to run your lights as well right fromt the start...

How do they react when you touch them? If they just close slowly, then probably a type of zoanthid/paly, if they close up quickly and/or retract into a hole, then probbaly a type of anenome. It sounds like it is spreading like something other than a zoa/paly.

    Mirage's 40 Gallon Stretch Hex

Hey Shawn, What do you think about cutting a bunch of vertical slots in the pipe, just like a regular overflow, as opposed to one long horizontal cut? I think we could put that thing under a chop saw and just make a bunch of cuts, and cut them close together to get about a 1/4" wide slot???
