    zoa problems - solved????

Well, the problem continues, and at this point I think it is just a wait and see. I only have found 1 nudi, and I have looked over the rest of the colonies and no sign of any nudis or eggs. I think it is a bacterial/fungal infection. I have tried dips in melafix, fluran, lugols, tropic marin...

    ajnweb's Solana

I have tried Lugols, Tropic Marine, Furan, Melafix, Fresh Water, and a hydrogen peroxide scrub. Since I can't dip all of the colonies due to their location and rock size that they are on, I think it is a wait and see at this point. And I think some of the dips I did might have killed some of...

    ajnweb's Solana

I do need to get some new ones up soon! Right now I am fighting something that seems to be wiping out several of my zoa colonies, so the tanks doesn't look too good right now. :( I have not found any sign of nudi eggs, but did find one nudi. I think it is some sort of fungal/bacterial...

    ajnweb's Solana

Yep, thats where I got them. I run one white and one blue during the day, then just the blue at night for moon lighting. They really do add a nice shimmer effect! I would like to ass another white light on the other side of the tank as well.

diy for a 10 gal. nano?

Possibly could run a HOB refugium. The only thing I ran on my 10 was a HOB filter with Chemi Pure in it, and did about a 1 gallon water change once a week.

diy for a 10 gal. nano?

I have a Current Dual Satellite 2x40 watt fixture, perfect for a 10 gallon nano http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47972&highlight=spokane all I have left is the light.... PM me and I will hook you up with a good deal on the light and I will throw in some zoas for free

    Approve or Disapprove

Seems reasonable, 240 gallon tank with 1074 watts of light....about 4.5 watts per gallon, although a 400 watt halide in the center might give you more coral options, high/lower light options with the 250's outboard

    zoa problems - solved????

Luckily I have most of them covered, except for a few, and what I don't have I will steal from Michael, he should be easy to distract with the new baby! :D

    zoa problems - solved????

Yeah, It's not looking good for a few colonies. Luckily the ones I got from you were after things started to look bad, so they are happily waiting in the frag tank until they can be moved into the display tank. On a happy note, after this is all over I will probably have more room in the DT...

    zoa problems - solved????

I am going to take out 1 or 2 bad looking colonies tonight, and go over them very carefully. Hopefully I will not spot any eggs or nudis. Then tonight I am going to sit by the tank and watch for any adult nudis. What do you think about the FE as a tank treatment? Do you have any FE at the...

Taqpol's 120 gallon All in Stand Reef Build

It is not the FE that will kill the fish/corals, but the die off from the flatworms themselves. If things look bad run lots of carbon and do as big of water change as you can, hopefully someone else will chime in as well. Good luck! Nice tanks by the way! Go Cougs!
