    Right now for my 36 gallon bow front tank I have a canister filter that can filter up to 45 gallon tank. It has the intake pipe 2/3 the way down in the back of the tank and at the top a tube for the flow out I need to add another 15 lbs of LR and this will block the intake. I can move it...

    I have noticed in everyones tanks that they have usually a black (one to two) fans. The tank I ended up getting had a brand new power head 50. So I have that set to flow the water downward. ** My question is should I take that out of the tank and get the fan style? Thanks again -James

    Perfect, that makes more sense. The price of LED shocked me but when you break it down like that... The ROI is back within a year.

    So what is the general rule for LED then? If the fluorescent bulbs are 2-3 watts per gallon?
