    Free acro

Hey guys I recently recieved this nice 4 inch acro with some zoas, I don't really do hard corals and this guy is developing a white spot. Id rather give it away then let it die. It would be great if you could trade me a softy or something else reef safe, but I'll also give it away for free. Id...

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

Sounds good, I'll keep you all updated. Hey derbird, the palys are spreading onto your sand?? Now I'm rethinking if I should move them to a rock in the sand, do you have fine sand or crushed coral? Mine is pretty fine Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

I just (very hesitantly) gave them a poke, the mat is soft, the heads are hard, also (if this means anything) I did an iodine dip when I got these zoas and this guy is still alive. Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

I believe they are hard, I'll have to check that out tonight. btw great link but it did confuse me a little bit because I am unfamiliar with the term phytopalys?? Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

If this helps at all the barnacle looking things are connected by a soft black mat and they don't bother the zoas at all. In the pic one is open and one is closed Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Canister Filters?

Lol, I've read about others having the same issue with cascades Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Canister Filters?

I ran my tank with a cascade 1000 canister for 2 years. It worked great and was way easier to clean than my sump set up. My only complaint is that it has start up issues. I have to shake it and tilt it while I plug it in or it won't start up Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

Thanks guys, sorry my phone won't give me a better pic than that. I guess I will try to chip off rock under the palys and glue them to a small lone rock on the sand. And no, nothing comes out of the things from the second pic so I doubt their actually barnacles, that's just what they kinda look...

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

On a separate subject, these guys are also puzzling me, they possibly look like small barnacles to me. They open and close maybe twice a minute. I can only see them in the morning before the zoas open up and cover them. Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Zoas, palys, or mojanos?

I received a rock about a month ago and noticed about 5+ of these guys, well now there are 25+. This extremely fast growth and the spikey skirts make me wonder if they could be something bad? What do you guys think? Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Sea apple yes or no?

That should cool, I really like all the unique colors they have. How long did you have it? I take it you never had an issue with it poisoning your tank? Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Sea apple yes or no?

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'm going to hold off on this one, but if I ever come across a purple one I know I won't be able to resist. I'd really like to get into more of the weird/unusual creatures like this Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Lighting Times

Here are my before and after pictures, but my camera phone doesn't do the colors justice. 4 blues 3 blues and one Fiji purple both pictures are with the bulbs 8" above the tank and the halides off Sent from my HTC Vivid using Tapatalk 2

    Lighting Times

My main issue was that I ended up having to wipe down my glass almost daily due to film algae. Also, your corals and fish will need some lights out time for sleep and coral growth (I believe). Anyways, I'll get some before and after pics up in the next day or two Sent from my HTC Vivid using...
