    how long does live rock take to seed??

    im about to start a new 20L and to speed up the cycle i had some extra rubble in a bucket, it was in saltwater but with no heater its been cycled and used before. If i tossed a bunch of it in my sump for my 100g about how long does it take to seed?

    i have room for a 10 gallon easy maybe a 20 if i push my luck, i thought i would just add a false back to the 10 an put cheato and live rock make a little biocube wana-be. plus there is a fish store close to the shop so wate changes will be easy. i jsut didnt know if a ten would be enough

    they are straight forward just get some tubing and a maxi jet and you can plumb them just about anywhere or anyhow the in goes on the in and the out goes back into the sump

    where to buy gate valves?

    i hate my ball valves they get stuck and i wand to use gate valves but home depo and lowels dont have them. im in lynnwood does anyone know where i can buy them thats not to bad of a drive?

    pvc or spa flex

    so im about to plumb a 200gallon tank i plumbed my 100g with the overflows all spa flex and the return pump with all pvc mostly cause it was easy and i had a few long peices of pvc. Is there any benefit from useing one over the other?? i need to do 3 overflows a return and maybe a closed loop

    okay now im not sure at all i jus read puffers have a very slimy coat and get sediment stuck to them all the time, well mine wedges himself in the sand between rocks to sleep, is there a way to tell if its just sand or parasites or ich or something else? ie can i push him under a powerhead or...

    wow that long huh, they should really add that to the instruction manual. is it common for a more water to come out the waste water outlet than the pure water outlet?
