Best reef safe and non- shrimp eating brittle star?

I have one as well, totally reef safe. I've had her in different tanks with cleaner shrimp, camel shrimp, and a coral banded. I also got really lucky because she's out 90 percent of the time. She likes to hang out under my frogspawn.

    Refractometer for poor people

The last straw for me with my hydrometer was when I tested my salt bucket for a water change and the first time it came out with a SG of 1.019, and I rinsed and repeated to get an off the chart SG. Had to have a buddy come over to test it just so I could do my damn weekly water change.

Beautiful tank, and I know it's been said a few times, but I love the light covers!

The BRS one came with calibration fluid. Also, and most influential to my decision, I had a coupon from BRS lol

    Refractometer for poor people

I see super expensive refractometers all over the place. So, simple question, why not just buy this one? Amazon.com: Salinity Refractometer, Aquarium & Seawater - Dual Scale (1.0 to 1.070 S.G.): Pet Supplies I've been wanting to pick one up, just haven't been able to spend too much money...

    Skimmer help

I bought a Reef octopus BH-100 this weekend at Barrier reef's sale. It's been hooked up for a couple days now and no matter what I do, I can't get the bubbles to get to the top of the neck and into the collection cup. I've been fiddling around with it constantly and the best I can get is...

    Skimmer on a 29G

Hey guys, I set up a new 29G reef and I'm looking for some recommendations on what skimmer to get, or if I should skip a skimmer. I was looking at the Hydor's up at OBD but wanted to look at some other options. Thanks!

    Refractometer, salt brand?

The orange bucket is instant ocean's reef crystals salt, btw. Purple bucket is normal instant ocean salt. Following this thread, been thinking about getting a refractometer but no idea which one.

New get together pig roast? frag swap? something?

I'd be down to come meet a few reefers. I've only met a handful of you so far. I'll be the awkward kid sitting in the corner.

I figured as much. Thanks for the input! Maybe the dottyback will be the motivation for finally setting up the 30. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

    Something growing in my zoas!

That seems to be them! Thanks! From what I've just read, they don't seem to be harmful. I guess I'll just let them hang out then. Thanks a lot for the ID!
