Mega-Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover Replaces Skimmer, Refugium, Everything

Definately interesting? That's a long list of reef boards that he's tapped into. I have trouble keeping up with 3 or 4 of my favorites. Couldn't imagine tracking all of them? Sounds very fishy to say the least.

wholly crap he's duped us all! He's even identified as Santa Monica on every board! Interesting! I'm still interested in trying this though.

    little giant water pump

I had a buddy that had 3 running his tank for 15+ years. He only oiled them 1 x per year! Heck the vinyl tubing cracked and wore out before his LG pumps did! Having said that, there are better pumps out there that don't run as hot and draw less watts vs. flow.

Sm, I know you prolly already noted what type of screen and where to buy from in your earlier postings, but could you please indicate again?

This would mean for 52 gal of system water, I'd need a screen around 18"x24"? I only have 1/2 this area available. Maybe this won't work?

I'm assuming that the algeas will only grow on the one side of the screen facing up towards the light. So when cleaning I'd just clean 1/2 the screen on one side? Also do you think this less potent/effective version would be as effective as having cheato in the fuge?

SantaMonica, spill the beans on how to make the floating screen in the first pick. I have the same issues and this seems like it would work for me? How about it's effectiveness vs the vertical version?

I went to the one down here in So Cal. It was super. Have fun, post pics of your aquisitions!

Taking orders for aiptasia eating Berghia Nudibranchs

Ya I was reading up on them after I posted. I only have 3 to 5 aiptasia so it's not an infestation. I'll prolly just stick with joes juice

So do these guys really eat aiptasia?

    Localized Xenia Extermination

I have simply cut the stalk out and then used my scissors to scrape the rock where the frag was. This is time consuming, but has worked for me. Best prolly to use the supplement injection attack.

    T5 Lighting recommendation

I use a T5 MH hqi combo unit. When I build my next tank, I'll either go all T5 with an ATI Powermodule or LED. I may still look to switch my T5/MH fixture out this next year for all T5? Still debating on that one. I don't have a chiller, but in the heat of the summer, my evap fans run...

    chiller

I wouldn't recommend this. You would need to be careful as the flow will decrease through your canister filter over time (unless you just run straight with no media or chance to clog) and you might burn up the compressor on the chiller unit.

Have you seen the Red See Max

My concern is the lid. I have a couple friends with the aquapods and their tanks heat up in the summer with the lids on and there's no way to effectively take the lids off and utilize the lighting. I have not looked at the red sea in detail and maybe it has some cooling fans? As I stated...

Have you seen the Red See Max

$799 at Foster's and Smith. Most LFS seem to have them around the $899 range. Actually when you get to down to brass tax, you get quite a bit out of their package. There are a few threads on RC discussing it and mods for the pump, skimmer and lighting etc. I like a cube, with the open...

    Phosban Reactor Sponges

I've been running my phosban reactor with rowphos and now phosAR HC. Not sure if it's just the PhosAR HC or not, but my pads seem to clogging up with in 2 to 3 days. I think the phosar HC media might be too small and is working it way into the pad to clog it up? Also the media seems to pack up...

Looking super! Like all the CL bulkheads through the back! You'll be happy with the CL vs, PH's in tank.

Bloke's 180g - It was bound to happen...

Bloke, I wish I wouldn't have sprayed my ceilings with the acoustic textured popcorn. It's a real eye sore IMO. regular knock off texture is so much cleaner IMO. When I do my addition, I'm going to scrape it all off and just spray on a regular drywall texture. I know you probably be...
