There are a few of us around that happen to build sumps and things. Send me a PM with what you are looking for and I'll get back to you on it.

    New Member Introduction

If you travel to the Bremerton area The Shark Reef in Silverdale is well worth the trip. Eric has some of the best pricing around. Plus it is only a little further to Poulsbo and you can visit me and Mario @ Ocean Reef Aquatics. (We are in the same business park) In the Tacoma area Indoor...

    Just got shocked!!

hmmm.... it shouldn't be lighting you up. I have had very good luck with Sunlight Supply and I love their T-5's. Try calling them tomarrow and ask for Sam. He's the western region rep.

Oh great, another 40 pages of stuff to read. ;) So far I only made it through a few pages but it seems to be worth the read.

Anybody got sps under t-8 or 5's?

http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24912 There are some pics in the above thread of my duel 150 gal rubbermaid holding system. At the time of the pics I had a lot of misc. SPS under only 6700 K and 10K T-5's. Didn't have any acros or Caps. I got a bunch of rescue colonies...

    hmm....

Yes get some weld-on (or plex weld or a couple of other weld on type products) No most likely it will not. If you don't want to start over from scratch, I would reccomend getting all the silicone off and see if you can break the super glue without breaking the acrylic. Sand the heck out of...

    Water change pump

I vote for the mag as well. I've been using the same one since they first came out. Pretty bullet proof pump and it takes a lot of abuse. I have used it it's whole life as a mixing pump and have never treated it well... it's still going. Plus in that application the two main problems with...

    What the????

yeah, that seems like a pretty bad idea. So what are we going to have to register as an arm and hammer user when you stick a new box in the fridge?

    CNC for acrylic projects

Sort of.... that's high for my pricing but I get good prices due to volume purchases. But it is in line with a good deal for going to Laird, Calsak, TAP or one of the many other locals. (heck even Keltech.... but if you got a 1/2 sheet out of Bob for that price then yes, you did well  )...

Is Krish going to hit 15,000 this...

Congrats on 15k Krish....and you didn't even break anything this time! But seriously, you are a blessing to this forum. You have a lot of good advise and you are willing to help anyone. Thanks for all you do and having a good sense of humor. It would be a bummer not to have the RF...

    Group buy on Polycast Tube

Anyone? I can order tube by the foot but there is a 15% upcharge right from polycast so I would rather order the whole 6' length.

    canopie

The canopy should be 10 - 12" tall. Dave's Custom makes his halide canopies 10" ( allows enough room for lots of equipment and to keep the halides 6-8" off the top of the tank) IF you make it taller it is easy to add blocks to drop the lighting back down, but if you start short... well there...

Is Krish going to hit 15,000 this...

I am very shocked. This morning when I was making coffee, Krish had not even added a single post. Now he's only added 8 more???? I bet he's sitting in a corner with his Teddy going through RF withdrawls.

    ID this crab

I don't know either but looking at those claws.... they are not made for eating algae.

    Rubbermaid Tank...how to

Here are some pics. I think it is easiest to run a sump above the tub and pump water into it, then let it gravity drain back to the tub. This would work really well for a fuge sump and your mangrove grow-out. Wouldn't have to worry about pods and critters going through the pump to get to the...

    Rubbermaid Tank...how to

Yup, that's enough info. I have been running two 150 gal rubbermaid tubs together for about 4 yrs now. I have primarily used them as live rock storage, curring and grow-out tanks but in the last year, I have used them for a lot of coral holding. I love the durability of the tubs, they are...
